Since the company was founded in 2008, Shale Media Group has been systematically growing to build itself as a media outlet for all the shale plays. By the end of this year, Shale Media Group will have conquered the North West and by the end of next year, all the remaining international shale play sites will be completed. Get ready to see Shale Media Group all over the globe!
We have a main social media strategist but every team member has access to the twitter accounts so he/she can tweet on location at an event, conference, etc.
Twitter is a main source of connectivity and news for a lot of people. We’re in the era where information is so readily available for us and Twitter is one of the fastest ways to get information out there. We also appreciate how Twitter has a personal touch. Knowing someone’s handle and mentioning people or companies we partner with, helps us to develop a stronger relationship.
The most interesting aspect of Shale Media Group is the VIPER system. Video is our visual medium to showcase events, organizations, companies and products in a customized, interactive manner. The Internet and our websites are the roots and foundation of SMG. Our compilation of websites has displayed consistent growth and will continue to grow as SMG expands into all the shale plays in the United States and the world. Shale Media Group disseminates news and information through various platforms and publications, including our websites, ONG Marketplace and our weekly newsletter. SMG provides elite business development opportunities and education in a fun, networking setting for individuals in the energy industry. Our radio broadcast, Shale Energy Now, give listeners the opportunity to hear from industry experts, including Rick Stouffer, Editor of Gas Business Briefing, a Division of Platts.
We are on location for all major oil and natural gas events in the area, partner with reputable organizations such as PIOGA and YPE and provide media coverage, articles, weekly newsletters, press releases, etc for most energy related happenings in the tri-state area and other states. We were recently at the Midcontinent Oil and Gas Awards in Oklahoma City. In addition, SMG puts on monthly networking events entitled the Elite Energy Event, for all people working and associated with the energy sector. We also recently hosted the Women In Natural Gas (W.I.N.G.) Awards, an awards ceremony honoring and recognizing women in the industry.
The Shale Media Group not only provides media coverage, such as live tweeting, for an event but we interview those hardworking people behind the scenes, keynote speakers, industry leaders and government officials to get the facts about the topic at hand. We make it a point to be there in person while simultaneously providing a virtual presence.
