RigData is a company who aims to be a gatekeeper of information for the oil and gas industry. They collect and publish information on many hot topics within the industry. They have gained so much attention that not only do thousands of oil and gas professionals rely on their information, but the media and industry analysts also refer to them quite a bit![/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″]@RigData has been in the social media world for about two years now. They decided to jump right it and launch a Twitter and Facebook account and then eventually a LinkedIn company page was also created. When looking at the @RigData Twitter feed, it’s apparent that follower engagement is a big priority. They are actively interacting with their almost 15 thousand followers by retweeting and mentioning.[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2361″ border_color=”” img_link_large=”” link=”” img_link_target=”” img_size=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Another great facet of this handle is the way industry related content can be shared with a humorous feel. For example, on a Thursday a tweet was sent out that talked about ‘Throwback Thursday’ and that any old logos submitted will receive a retweet. In keeping with that humorous attitude, @RigData also uses some unique advertising techniques. Here’s a meme that they created to promote their new mobile app:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We had the opportunity to talk with Braxton Huggins, Social Media Director for RigData. He gave us some great insight on how their social media initiatives take shape on Twitter.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Who is the voice behind @RigData?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The voice is @WhoisBraxton, but all the content is provided by our RigData News and Analysis team.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Why did you decide to join the Twitterverse?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We decided to become a part of the conversation because many of our individual customers were on social media and it allowed us to connect with them directly and it helped us open up a channel for customer service.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]What is the most successful aspect of the account?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]People love the graphs and daily statistics that our team produces, Facebook is continuing to grow as more people are getting a better view of what is happening within the industry right there on their phone.
