#FF Feature: @cppumps

[vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]This week, we’re featuring @cppumps, the Twitter handle of CheckPoint Pumps, a leading provider of production solutions and a designer, manufacturer and marketer of pump packages, green energy solutions and other production pumps, as our #FF. Wow, that was a mouthful.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Why @cppumps received our #FF nod: [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]One of the reasons that we follow @cppumps is because their account is refreshingly conversational. Though they tweet hard-hitting news and industry updates, they do so with a measure of levity and positivity. We enjoy reading the account’s friendly interactions with followers and other industry leaders and we appreciate the mix of personality and professionalism.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]@cppumps thanks all of its new followers, which gives us the opportunity to meet new people and follow new accounts. We like to be able to see @cppumps tweets to new followers and reach out to those accounts dealing with oil and gas, government and technology and production.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]CheckPoint Pumps has a well-developed and frequently-updated Facebook page that it regularly references or hyperlinks in tweets. We enjoy following @cppumps because they streamline their content and provide additional resources and links for many of their tweets.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Q & A with CheckPoint Pumps’ Melany Graham[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We took some time to ask Melany Graham, Market Analyst for CheckPoint Pumps and voice of the Twitter account, some questions about the @cppumps handle.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Q: How has Twitter helped you to connect with other natural gas leaders and industry professionals?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Twitter has helped us connect with entities on a more immediate level that may not have otherwise taken place via e-mail or a phone call, or even a search on the internet. For example, we were not aware of various Pump Awards contests (i.e. @PumpsSystemsMag) until we saw some announcements coming through our feed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Q: What is unique about @cppumps?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We do a fair amount of sharing our product and service information, and we retweet the news of other followers related to our industry. Our feed will reflect a range of posts, from birthday wishes and baby announcements in the company, to tradeshow announcements and troubleshooting frequently asked questions on chemical pumps and photo images of our chemical injection packages.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Q: How do you find and manage the content that you post on your Twitter?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Our content can come from website, or other content that is CheckPoint-related but not yet published on our site. We also regularly look through our followers list (it has grown considerably since 2009) and look for hashtags that are industry-related. For example, one of our followers (@PumpingTweets) has a #PumpTalk on Tuesdays. This gives us an opportunity to participate in pump-related dialogue with other industry professionals. #AskCabot on Thursdays is another example.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Q: Thanks for the #AskCabot shout out, Melany! Is there anything else you would like to add about CheckPoint Pumps? [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]CheckPoint embraces social media. We see it as yet another platform to stay connected to the oil and gas industry, and promote our unparalleled expertise with the challenges faced daily by oil and gas production teams.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
