Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation

Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation has served America for over 125 years to become the 5th largest producer of natural gas in the country.

The company that would become Cabot was born in 1888, when Godfrey Lowell Cabot bought his brother’s business and become the sole proprietor of the Cabot Corporation.  After traversing the United States over a dozen decades, Cabot returned to Pennsylvania to produce natural gas.

Today, Cabot is an independent oil and natural gas producer committed to providing clean energy and building stronger communities, with around 9.7 trillion cubic feet equivalents of proved reserves primarily in the Marcellus shale of northeastern Pennsylvania.

Cabot is committed to strengthening local communities and protecting local environments.  Cabot has a strong history of investing in the communities in which our employees live and work by helping to improve necessities like education, healthcare and local charitable organizations.
