Cabot’s Winter Giving Plans

This winter season, we’ve committed to donating more than $200,000 in order to help battle food insecurity across northeast Pennsylvania. In coordination with the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) and our dedicated partners in the community, we hope to make a difference for families and households across the region. We’d like to share with you a few of the things we have planned for winter giving this holiday season:

Hunters Sharing the Harvest

Hunters Sharing the Harvest (HSH) is a program dedicated to helping feed families across Pennsylvania through the donations of deer venison for over 30 years. We’ve been partnering with HSH since 2013 to assist them in this mission. This year, we’re donating another $5,000 toward butchering fees during the holiday season.

Trehab Thanksgiving and Christmas Programs

We’re in our ninth year of partnership with Trehab Community Action Agency of Susquehanna County. Trehab’s Thanksgiving and Christmas food drives help hundreds of families enjoy a hearty holiday dinner with their families. This year, we’re making another $5,000 donation to the cause.

CEO Thanksgiving Project

Cabot is also donating to the Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO) as they gear up for their 41st annual Thanksgiving Project. Though CEO has changed the format of their annual giveaway this year, families will still have the opportunity to register for a turkey voucher via mail.

Interfaith Christmas Dinner

Susquehanna County Interfaith is another longtime partner of ours. You’re probably familiar with the Toy Drive that our employees love to take part in each year in order to bring Christmas presents to children and families in need. This year, we’re donating to their Christmas dinner as well.

There’s even more winter giving to come in 2021. We’re continuing to help tackle food insecurity in the new year with another $180,000 to the following organizations in Pennsylvania:
