How Does Cabot Support American Veterans?

Cabot is a proud employer of veterans across the country. From our Houston office to Pittsburgh to Susquehanna – you’ll find veterans hard at work helping to secure America’s energy future.

It’s important to realize that many companies are actively seeking American veterans to help fill positions in the industry. The skills that our veterans learn during their time in the armed forces are directly applicable to our industry: hard work, dedication, safety, and leadership just to name a few. These skills are making veterans a hot commodity across the industry.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette just published a feature story just this week about oil and gas companies seeking veterans to fill positions. The features Cabot’s own John MacZura and his experiences in applying skills from the Army Infantry to his daily work.

And many veterans are expressing interest in working in the industry. From the Post-Gazette story:

Of the 93,339 veterans in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, 51.3 percent have expressed an interest in shale-related jobs, according to the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board, a Downtown group that connects employers and workers.
