Event Preview: Shale Insight 2014

The Shale Insight 2014 Conference is here! This event is sponsored by the Marcellus Shale Coalition to put those interested in learning more about shale gas development in contact with thought leaders in the industry, CEOs, and government officials. The event is being held at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Shale Insight Keynote Speakers

Shale Insight attracts many influential companies and people to come in as keynote speakers. This year’s keynote presenters include Tom Corbett, the 46th Governor of Pennsylvania, Bill Richardson, the 30th Governor of New Mexico and former Secretary of the U.S. Department of Energy, and Tom Ridge, 43rd Governor of Pennsylvania and First Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Industry leaders such as Randy Cleveland, President of XTO Energy, Frank Semple, President and CEO of MarkWest Energy Partners, and David L. Porges, President and CEO of EQT Corporation are also all presenting. In addition to these six, Chief Economist Stephen Moore, Sean Hannity, New York Times best-selling author and Fox New host, and Former White House Press Secretary and co-host of Fox’s The Five, Dana Perino are also keynote speakers.

Shale Insight Technical and Public Affairs Sessions

Shale Insight 2014 seeks to give attendees a clear understanding of both the technical advancements being made and the public and political opportunities and challenges that face the shale industry. By addressing both public affairs and technical issues in the same conference, people can come away from the event with a deeper understanding of both aspects of the field. Some of the session topics include Protection of Sensitive Resources during Planning and Development, Doing More with Less: Drilling and Completions in the Appalachian Basin, and Game Changer: How Shale Development has Spurred a Regional Economic Renewal among many others
