Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation, Energy Transfer and the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted the Think About Energy Briefing at the Country Cupboard in Lewisburg, PA on September 4, 2019.
The briefing featured U.S. Congressman Fred Keller (PA-12) and continued the multi-year series conducted across Pennsylvania since 2013.
The Lewisburg session provided information to attendees on the supply and price outlook for natural gas; natural gas infrastructure developments; and natural gas use in the power, transportation, and commercial sectors, among other topics.
George Stark, External Affairs Director at Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation, spoke about Cabot’s investments in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale during the September 4th Think About Energy Briefing.
He also detailed efforts by Cabot to invest in workforce development and education throughout Pennsylvania.
The event’s keynote speaker, Rep. Fred Keller, is currently serving his first term in Congress, after being elected in a special election to fill the unexpired term of Congressman Tom Marino.
Prior to Congress, Fred served five terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he developed a proven record of working hard to grow Pennsylvania’s economy and attract jobs, standing up for taxpayers, promoting agriculture, and tirelessly supporting local families and businesses.
Joe Lloyd, vice president of operations for Panda Power Funds, discussed the development of the nearby by Hummel Power station at the Sunbury Generation station, as well as other Panda Power Fund projects in the region.
Joe McGinn is the vice president of public affairs at Energy Transfer. He discussed the opportunities and challenges of developing energy infrastructure in Pennsylvania.
