Life of a landowner

The Life of a Landowner

What is it like to be a landowner with Cabot?

We often talk about the positive impacts that the natural gas industry has brought to Susquehanna and surrounding counties. This time, we are taking a moment to talk about the positive relationships we have forged with possibly our most important partners: Landowners! Over the years, we operated on many properties in the region and worked with some incredible folks along the way.

Michael Bakaysa III is a landowner who resides in Springville, Susquehanna County. He owns 66 acres of land and is involved in several units with Cabot. As a landowner, Michael likes to stay involved in the process and spend plenty of time at the site of the well. He has always shown interest in the caretaking of his land to make sure that the environment is restored and thriving. He recalls his many positive experiences with Cabot in the video below:

Dale Howell is another Springville landowner with four wells on his property. Cabot has worked closely with him on every new well pad, and he notes on the great communication and fair negotiation that Cabot has established with him over the years. As a landowner, Dale has also learned much about the process including the reconstruction of roads in his area. “I’ve had nothing but good experiences,” Dale summarized.

We’ve also had a great relationship with landowners Helen and Edwin Mead. They reside in Bridgewater Township, Susquehanna County, and we have been operating on their property since 2013. Both Helen and Edwin admitted that while at first, they were leery of leasing their land to Cabot, but their decision to do so was much rewarded. They now have a lucrative relationship with us. Both have said that they appreciate the transparency throughout the process.
