[vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″]Today we’d like to introduce you to James Edwards, the Completions Manager for the North Region here at Cabot.[/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image css_animation=”” image=”489″ border_color=”” img_link_large=”” link=”http://cabotsusq.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/jim-edwards1.jpg” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=””][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]James, or Jim as he prefers to be called, has been with Cabot for nearly two years and is responsible for managing the hydraulic fracturing operations in Susquehanna County and elsewhere in the North Region.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Q: So Jim, where are you from originally?I grew up in Western Pennsylvania – Lawrence County to be specific. I’ve since traveled and lived out of Texas, West Virginia, Michigan, Oklahoma and South Korea before I ended up back here in Pittsburgh.Q: And how long have you been in the industry? This will be my eighth year working in the oil and gas industry. I spent just over five years with BJ Services, which is now owned by Baker Hughes. Prior to that I served Active Army Duty for three years.Q: You currently live and work in Pittsburgh but do you spend any time in  Susquehanna County?I’ve actually spent a great deal of time out in Susquehanna County and tend to think of it as my second home. It’s a great community with friendly, hardworking people and a beautiful landscape.Q: What do you like about your position and working at Cabot?I really enjoy being involved on the ground floor of achieving some of the best wells in the entire Marcellus area. Cabot is a smaller company that has dedicated leaders who are extremely interested and engaged in the daily operations of the company.Q: Anything else you’d like to add about yourself, your job or the industry?I just want to share the real story behind hydraulic fracturing – it  is a scientifically engineered process that employees thousands of people across the state and country each day.  It is being managed by professionals like myself who enjoy the outdoors and protecting our environment for the future generations to come.  If you want to know more about Natural Gas and Drilling, ask the people working hard each day on the Marcellus Frac Crews in PA.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Have more questions about what Jim does?
