This video was created as a visual companion piece to a release of a study by AGF and IHS CERA called “Fueling the Future with Natural Gas: Bringing it Home.”
From the YouTube description:
The study outlines how natural gas altered the United States (U.S.) energy landscape over the past decade, providing new opportunities for natural gas utilities. The study finds that with the abundance of natural gas in the U.S. the domestic market for this clean energy source can be greatly expanded beyond its current usage to provide new growth prospects for all sectors of the economy, including residential, industrial, power and transportation.
It can be easy to think of natural gas usage only in terms of heating and cooking, but the truth is it plays a large part in power generation across the country. And as the video points out, not only is it quite efficient, it has lower emissions than coal (traditionally used for power generation) and is helping with cost-savings due to its price.
