Joining with our partners ANGA, MSC, API, Lackawanna College and Keystone College we were able to have an industry tent at the fair where people could ask questions about all things energy. Needless to say it was a big hit with fairgoers, especially since you could see a drilling rig – yes, one of Cabot’s – from the fairgrounds.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″]In addition to fielding questions about drilling and hydraulic fracturing, Cabot answered a lot of questions about compressed natural gas (CNG) since we had one of our bi-fuel vehicles on display. It’s clear many in the region are interested in switching their vehicles to run on clean burning, inexpensive CNG, but the biggest question is where we can fill up. Bradford County does have stations available and Lackawanna County is in the process of building its first. Susquehanna and Wyoming Counties are lacking station, at least right now. However this didn’t diminish the general excitement about CNG.

One fair attendee shared their opinion: “This is a no brainer. Twenty years ago we were driving farm equipment on propane. My cousin even converted his truck to run on it. Now we have the natural gas, why aren’t we all driving it?”

This year Cabot took home two separate hogs, one being the reserve grand champion homebred, weighing collectively 467 Lbs.
