[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Dear Legislators,
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]On Tuesday, June 23, I joined other Pennsylvanians from manufacturing, small business, education, labor and supply chain companies in the Pennsylvania Capitol Rotunda to highlight the economic and job creation benefits of responsible shale gas development.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]I am fortunate to be a beneficiary of a job in Northeastern Pennsylvania that the natural gas industry helped create. As a resident of Scranton, working and beginning my career in my hometown was always important to me.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Shortly after graduating from Penn State in 2013 with a degree in journalism, I accepted a marketing position at Borton-Lawson, a locally-owned engineering firm with a significant portion of its business in the natural gas industry.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]I am proud to live in Scranton and to have found a rewarding job in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The natural gas industry has offered recent graduates, like myself, attractive and lucrative career options without having to leave our hometowns. This industry has also given new life to the Northeastern Pennsylvania.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]I work for a local company that has grown from a two-man operation in 1988 to a firm that now employs more than 165 employees in five offices throughout the Commonwealth. Borton-Lawson is an active member of the communities in which we serve, values being a good partner with our clients, and investing in the career growth and professional development of our employees.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Much of our recent growth and hires are due to our work and success in the natural gas industry. These are real people and real jobs, and I am fortunate to be a statistic of this economic success.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Sincerely,
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Timothy Schoen
