Hitting the Radio Waves for CNG

[vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]George Stark was on the radio last week discussing the future of compressed natural gas in northeast Pennsylvania. On Tuesday he joined David Madeira (94.3 FM the Talker) and Wednesday Dave Williams (Pennsylvania Farm Country Radio). Highlighted below are some of the important takeaways from both interviews.

[Cabot is] paying $1.19 per gallon…There are facilities in Bradford, Susquehanna and even Lackawanna.”
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]David Madeira: In my house I have natural gas. Is that the same natural gas [in your vehicles]?
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]George Stark: “You are absolutely on it. The technology exists today to connect you truck or car in your garage like an appliance. Your vehicle would fill up over night.”
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]David Madeira: Were not talking about a technology or vehicle in the future, Ford is putting this vehicle out now.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]George Stark: “That is correct. To your point, that’s [Ford’s] number one best seller. It’s not like their doing this with a vehicle nobody is using. They recognize the industries using this truck.”
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_custom_heading text=”” font_container=”tag:h4|font_size:28px|text_align:left|line_height:30px” google_fonts=”font_family:PT%20Sans%3Aregular%2Citalic%2C700%2C700italic|font_style:400%20regular%3A400%3Anormal”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]
Dave Williams: How much cheaper is CNG?
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]George Stark: “I filed up this morning for $3.74 a gallon. I know there are several locations you can get natural gas for easily under $2.00. I’ve seen it as low as $1.59. I have seen it as high as $1.99.”
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Dave Williams: Where can you go to fill up?
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]George Stark: “You’re now seeing Bradford County have three publicly available stations where you can get natural gas. Scranton is building a station….I see it clearly where counties are going to build the stations. The state is putting dollars forward to build these stations. But the more vehicles Ford puts on the road will help build this demand over time.”
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Dave Williams: Why is this a great advantage for the United States?
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]George Stark: “It’s truly a great American advantage. The fact we can walk ourselves away from being dependent on foreign oil, is critical. To your point [Dave], This is gas coming from underneath the farmers homes in Susquehanna, Bradford and Wyoming. Its where the drilling is taken place. It’s where the money is being invested and reinvested.”
