Natural Gas is Powering America

[vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The U.S has officially become the world’s leading energy producer, producing more natural gas than Russia for the first time since 1982. In 2013 alone, more than a quarter of the nation’s energy was generated by natural gas, and that number is only increasing by the day.

“There is a startling shift that is reshaping markets and eroding the clout of traditional energy-rich nations.”

It is estimated that natural gas will make up 63% of new capacity additions through 2040. Natural gas is the most efficient and least expensive power generation to build today.

This means communities are improving their air quality and their saving taxpayer dollars by having more affordable gas.  Plus, it is creating a cleaner environment for us to live in. Research shows that carbon emissions have dropped to their lowest levels since 1994 due to the rising use of natural gas.

Cabot currently has three drilling rigs and 60 vehicles operating on natural gas, which is saving thousands of gallons of diesel consumption in our operations alone.
