It was a cold, but sunny day on Saturday, April 6, 2013. We were very excited to be able to hold our sixth annual Mehoopany Creek Chapter of the NWTF JAKES (Juniors Acquiring Knowledge and Ethics in Sportsmanship) Event. At our event we invite kids ages 5-17. This year as we were trying to decide what new stations we could have. We love it when the kids can take something home with them. It is always a challenge because any product we want them to take is a cost to the chapter. We had hoped we could have the kids build bluebird houses. This would be a not only a lesson in carpentry, but something they could watch and enjoy over years of their childhood.
