On June 13, Cabot held a First Responders Event at the Springville Fire Department in Susquehanna, Pa. For the event we invited companies and departments from across Susquehanna County to go over the PA ACT 9 Emergency Response policies.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]ACT 9 was set in place to ensure Marcellus Shale development was done in an environmentally sound and responsible way, which includes having plans for and responding to any urgent situation that may occur. And like our industry’s progressions, ACT 9 has also enhanced its policies.
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The new ACT 9 regulations require the following:
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]1. Registration of 911 addresses for well sites and facilities with the county 911
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]2. Installation of newly required 911 signs at well sites and facilities
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]3. Preparation of Site Specific Emergency Response Plans for each well site and facility and the preparation of the county Master Emergency Response Plan
[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]At the event we went over Cabot’s emergency response plan to show that we are going above and beyond the regulation’s call of duty, and got feedback from our community’s first responders.
