Well for starters you’re reading our blog right now so we want to focus on creating the best experience for you [yes, you] by attending the event and learning how to make improvements. And we’re a sponsor – you might have noticed our lovely sponsor badge to the right of the reading panel —>>[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]NEPA BlogCon is the brainchild of the Fearsome Foursome – Karla, Leslie, Mandy and Michelle. We sent them some questions to learn more about how the event came to be:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_single_image css_animation=”” image=”1634″ border_color=”” img_link_large=”” link=”http://cabotsusq.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/fearsome-foursome.jpg” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”medium”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Tell us a little about the Fearsome Foursome and how the NEPA BlogCon came to be.
We are four women with diverse complementary crossover digital talents. We are passionate about what we do and believe we have something to offer our community. The mission is a trifecta: spread digital savviness in the region, bring like-minded people together in a creative environment, and give back to the community through supporting local nonprofits.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]The Fearsome Foursome Manifesto is impressive, as are the women who make it up. How did you all come together to form the Foursome?
Like most wonderful things, we came together as a force of nature :)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Okay, maybe not, but here’s what really happened. We’ve all sort of known each other as part of the NEPA online community. At NEPA BlogFest last March, Karla and Michelle started chatting about how great it would be to have an event that was all about blogging, new technology, and social media. From there, Mandy and Leslie were drafted into the cause as we were all sort of already connected. We had a Google Hangout shortly after that and that’s how the Fearsome Foursome was born.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Any surprises in store for the people in attendance?
Everyone who attend  will be getting a gorgeous 2013 NEPA Calendar with photo contributions from talented local photographers. See the contributions here.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]They’ll also be getting fancy t-shirts with our logo on it, and some other fun swag!  And of course the chance to rub elbows with so many super bloggers, talented speakers, and generally awesome people. It’ll be a day of learning, networking, and having a good time![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/2″]Why a squirrel mascot?
Squirrels are clever, cute, and can be found pretty much everywhere you look in NEPA!  When we were coming up with our logo, Leslie started to play with using the squirrel and we just went ‘nuts’ for it![/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image css_animation=”” image=”1635″ border_color=”” img_link_large=”” link=”http://cabotsusq.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/nepa-blogcon.jpg” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”thumbnail”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row animation=””][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Care to share one small piece of advice for the bloggers out there?
